• General/OBC/EWS male candidates: Rs. 25/- payable via Debit/Credit Card, UPI, or Internet Banking
• Female candidates, SC, ST, and PwBD candidates of any community: No fee
• Fee once paid is not refundable and cannot be carried forward to another examination or selection
• Applications submitted without the prescribed fee (where applicable) will be summarily rejected

UPSC Recruitment 2026 Selection Process

Selection is made by interview, or by Recruitment Test (RT)/Combined Recruitment Test (CRT) followed by interview, depending on the post; the notification does not specify which mode applies to each individual post above. Category-wise minimum level of suitability in the interview (out of 100 marks) is UR-50, OBC-45, and SC/ST/PwBD-40. Where an RT is held, candidates must meet the minimum qualifying level at both the RT and interview stages.
