A total of 150 posts are being filled – 117 Senior Personal Assistant and 33 Personal Assistant, both Group 'B' posts. Category-wise vacancy breakups are given below.

Since there is no vacancy under the General category for the post of Personal Assistant, all clauses in the notice pertaining to the General category apply only to the Senior Personal Assistant post.

Within the total vacancies, posts are also reserved horizontally for Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) – 7 posts out of 117 SPA vacancies, and 3 posts out of 33 PA vacancies. The disability-wise breakup is given below.

All educational qualifications must be from a University/Institution/Board recognised by the Government of India or approved by Government regulatory bodies, with the final result declared on or before the closing date for receipt of online applications. Candidates must submit a separate application for each post (SPA and PA) along with the requisite fee for each.

Delhi High Court SPA & PA Age Limit

As on 01.01.2026, a candidate's age should not be below 18 years and not over 32 years (born not earlier than 02.01.1994 and not later than 01.01.2008). Date of birth as recorded in the Matriculation/Secondary Examination Certificate or an equivalent certificate alone will be accepted; no subsequent request for change will be entertained.

PwBD relaxation applies only to candidates with benchmark disability of 40% or more, in the specific disability categories for which vacancies have been reserved. Widows, divorcees, and certain other categories of married women get relaxation up to 40 years, as per Government of Delhi instructions dated 23.04.1984. There is no upper age limit for persons already in regular service in the Delhi High Court, subject to fulfilling the educational qualification – this relaxation does not apply to candidates working in other Government departments, PSUs, or Delhi District Courts.

Fee can be paid through UPI, Net Banking, Credit Card, or Debit Card. The fee is non-refundable and not adjustable against any other examination or selection. Applications without the prescribed fee will be summarily rejected. Separate fee is payable for each post (SPA and PA) applied for.

Both posts follow a four-stage selection process – English Typing Test, English Shorthand Test, Main (Descriptive) Examination, and Interview.

For Senior Personal Assistant

The final merit list is prepared by adding marks from Stage II, III, and IV; Stage I (Typing Test) is qualifying only. Ties are resolved in order: Stage II marks, then Stage III marks, then Stage IV marks, then date of birth (older candidate preferred). No exemption from any stage, including Typing and Shorthand tests, is given to any candidate, including PwBD candidates; there is no provision for a scribe or compensatory time for PwBD candidates in this recruitment.

How to Apply for Delhi High Court SPA & PA Recruitment 2026

  1. Register for online application using your email ID and mobile number; note the system-generated registration/application number.
  2. Fill up the application form online by visiting www.delhihighcourt.nic.in.
  3. Upload a scanned colour passport-size photograph in JPEG format (100 KB to 200 KB, not more than three months old, with 3/4th face coverage).
  4. Capture and upload a live photograph via webcam/mobile device, matching the uploaded passport photo.
  5. Upload left-hand thumb impression in JPEG format (50 KB to 200 KB); right-hand thumb impression may be used if left is unavailable.
  6. Upload scanned signature in JPEG format (50 KB to 150 KB) – illegible or capital-letter signatures will be rejected.
  7. Pay the prescribed fee online via UPI, Net Banking, Credit Card, or Debit Card.
  8. Generate and save the Confirmation Page after successful fee payment – submission is complete only when this page is generated.
  9. Use the correction window (12.10.2026 to 14.10.2026) if needed to modify any details except Name, Category, Date of Birth, and Mobile Number; corrections can be made up to two times, with charges of Rs. 200/- for the first correction and Rs. 500/- for the second.
